Insight Dialogue: Compassionate Presence, for Therapist and Healthcare Professionals

Residential Retreat

led by Sharon Beckman-Brindley and Phyllis Hicks

Insight Dialogue is an interpersonal meditation form, based in Vipassana.  It expands solitary meditation by extending the mindfulness, wisdom, and compassion of silent practice into speaking and listening in contemplation with others.

In this workshop/retreat we will explore classical Buddhist teachings on mindfulness, tranquility, and equanimity and connect these to western psychological understandings of
the healing relationship. Particular focus will be on the evolution of authenticity, empathy and mutuality for both provider and client.

Location:Shalom House Retreat Center,
               Montpelier, VA
