Self -Compassion and the Path to Freedom

One definition of self-compassion is "opening to our own pain or suffering with kindness". Lack of self-compassion is cited as "the great unnamed epidemic."

We all want to avoid pain and find happiness.  Learning to identify and accept difficult emotions and responding compassionately to our own imperfections, without judgment or blame, are essential steps on the path to freedom from suffering.

Tonight, after a guided meditation,  we will explore self-compassion through a talk followed by a special guided meditation on self compassion.

This week's teacher is Allie Rudolph.

IMCC meets every Tuesday evening for a period of guided meditation and a talk by one of IMCC's experienced meditation teachers. The program is designed to be suitable and of interest to people with no meditation experience as well as more advanced practitioners. There is no fee and dana (donations) are gratefully accepted.  Chairs are provided, and bring a cushion if you prefer.

Everyone is welcome.  Please join us.
