Sharon Beckman-Brindley, Ph.D., has over 20 years of meditation experience.
She is a clinical psychologist with a private practice in Charlottesville.
Sharon has taught meditation seminars to therapists for many years and has led a
variety of mindfulness trainings for therapists throughout Virginia. She is also
a graduate of the Community Dharma Leaders Program at Spirit Rock Meditation
Center.

| Pat Coffey
has over 25 years of
intensive meditation experience. He
has studied with the major meditation teachers of North America and many
Asian teachers. Pat has
taught week-long and intensive day-long retreats in VA, NC, MD, WVA, MA,
FL and DC. He is on the Board
of Directors at the Insight Meditation Society in Massachusetts and a
graduate of the Community Dharma Leaders Program at the Spirit Rock
Meditation Center. Pat was
recently selected to continue his training as a teacher in a joint program
of The Insight Meditation Society and
Spirit Rock Meditation Center under the tutelage of Jack Kornfield and
Joseph Goldstein |

Jacqueline
(Jackie) Erskine, MSW, has been practicing Vipassana meditation since
1992. Her major teacher has been Tara Brach, and she has studied with many
well-recognized Western Buddhist teachers. She has been teaching Insight
Meditation classes and retreats for over 10 years, and completed the
Community Dharma Leaders training course (Spirit Rock Meditation Center)
in 2003. Jackie is a retired social worker, with extensive experience as a
psychotherapist for couples, families, and groups.

| Susan
Stone, Ph.D., discovered she was on a spiritual path in her twenties
when a spiritual experience radically changed her life. Practicing on her
own for several years, she has subsequently been engaged in Buddhist
meditation for more than 25 years and has lived in monasteries for 3
years. A graduate of the Community Dharma Leader (CDL) program sponsored
by Spirit Rock Meditation Center in Woodacre CA and ordained as a Zen lay
priest, Susan is a guiding teacher with the Insight Meditation Community
of Charlottesville (IMCC). She leads retreats and workshops in a
multi-state area. Susan is author of The American Mosaic (1995) on
workforce diversity, and At the Eleventh Hour (2001) on mindfulness and
caregiving, nominated for the ForeWord Magazine's 2001 book-of-the-year
award. Susan also teaches Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) at the
University of Virginia, where she is a member of the faculty. She teaches
mindfulness to middle-school students as well as at a women's
maximum-security prison. Susan is a Reiki master who has worked with AIDs
patients. |
