Sit-A-Thon Benefit for Common Ground
When
14 Jul 2012
1:45 PM - 5:00 PM
Location
The Haven at 112 W. Market St. in downtown Charlottesville
Sit-A-Thon Benefit For Common Ground
Led by Pat Coffey
July 14th 1:45-5
This event, led by Pat, is a benefit for Common Ground Healing Arts. Common Ground is a nonprofit wellness cooperative committed to engaging the entire diverse Charlottesville community in healthy living.
Many teachers and practitioners of various modalities such as meditation, yoga, acupuncture, herbalism, massage therapy, and mindfulness-based counseling work together to support individuals in creating a healthier lifestyle. The services are offered on a sliding scale basis making the services accessible to all.
The Insight Meditation Community of Charlottesville teachers will be instrumental in offering meditation instruction in this cooperative effort.
There will be a two hour silent meditation made "user friendly" by Pat's instructions and gentle mindful movement interludes. Full meditation instructions will be given so that even those without any meditation experience will have a successful, restorative and calming experience.
Please arrive no later than 1:45 as we will start with instructions promptly at 2.
From 4 to 5 there will be a reception following the sit.
The requested donation for this event is $108.
Check out this link for full details about the event, how to register and the mission and activities of Common Ground.
