The Beauty of a Compassionate Life
His Holiness The Dalai Lama visited Charlottesville on Thursday and brought his encouragement to cultivate a life imbued with compassion.
Tonight we will explore this beautiful emotion.
Compassion is one of the four "divine abodes" which also include loving friendliness, sympathetic joy and equanimity. Contemplating and cultivating these "beautiful emotions" can transform our lives.
In addition to a talk and discussion about compassion Pat will lead the group in a guided compassion meditation.
IMCC meets every Tuesday evening for a period of guided meditation and a talk by one of IMCC's experienced meditation teachers. The program is designed to be friendly and of interest to people with no meditation experience as well as more advanced practitioners.
