The Buddha and Dr. King
In January each year we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Throughout his life he manifested wisdom, compassion and courage...foundational aspects of the Buddha's teachings.
Tonight we will explore parallels in the teachings of the Buddha and Dr. King. Both men have been continuing sources of inspiration across time and culture.
IMCC meets every Tuesday evening for a period of guided meditation and a talk by one of IMCC's experienced meditation teachers. The program is designed to be friendly and of interest to people with no meditation experience as well as more advanced practitioners.
