We are meeting in person at 717 Rugby Rd in the Unitarian Universalist sanctuary and on Zoom.
‘Tis the Season . . .
It’s the season of giving! For many of us, that means a season of lists, and making sure the gifts are meaningful, personal, show how much we care, and show how well we know the person we’re giving to. Gifts are often carefully chosen so that everyone feels loved equally. What if we give to someone who doesn’t give to us? What if someone gives to us & we don’t have a gift for them??? It can be fraught.
It may come as no surprise that the Buddha talked about generosity very differently. Giving is an essential Buddhist practice from its earliest days. Of course, giving requires someone to receive. Also, fraught! Tonight, let’s explore finding more ease and grace in the dance of giving and receiving.
