“I have been a faithful teacher…and told them all they need to know so that they may bring suffering to an end…” - The Buddha

As we live together in this world of form, we can all stumble a bit as we struggle in relationship or receive that unsettling medical diagnosis or read today’s “breaking news.”  We can watch the very human ways that we can get caught as our minds and habits try valiantly to help us find a way to navigate and “fix” it all.   The Buddha has some thoughts about this. In this weekend retreat, we will explore his teachings on the cultivation of a mind/heart endowed with and stabilized by wisdom, ease, kindness and grace in the face of these ordinary and universal human challenges.

Join us for a non-residential retreat in the beautiful Virginia countryside where we will practice silent meditation and, together, the contemplations of Insight Dialogue in which we will rest in awareness of our direct moment-to-moment experience while meditating in dialogue with others. This ID practice allows us to perceive and understand things that are easily overlooked by our conceptual minds. Meditating together, we come to more deeply know and to receive the always-available gifts of our practice.

Additional information about Insight Dialogue may be found at https://insightdialogue.org/
