Would You Like To Cultivate More Love and Energy In Your Meditation Practice?
With Pat Coffey
Starting a mediation practice can be challenging. Keeping an existing practice from become stale or becoming an internal struggle can be challenging.
This evening we will explore a perspective on practice that will both renew and soften your experience of meditation. A perspective that will allow more joy, healing, self acceptance and love into your practice.
The Buddha enumerated five classic challenging energies we must come to grips with in our daily lives
the flavors of wanting...
the various aversions to the way things are ..
restlessness and worry....
life sapping sluggishness
doubt about ourselves, doubt about our practice
These energies, when they are in play, are often misunderstood in terms of our spiritual practice. How we come to relate to them is the difference between an internal war of anguish and an internal life of peace, joy, freedom and awe for this amazing gift of life.
Please come and explore what might become the beginning of a new perspective and ways of relating to these challenging energies.
IMCC meets every Tuesday evening for a period of guided meditation and a talk by one of IMCC's experienced meditation teachers. The program is designed to be friendly and of interest to people with no meditation experience as well as more advanced practitioners.
