Kalyana Mitta (Spiritual Friends) Groups
Kalyana Mitta, or KM groups are gatherings of "spiritual friends" who support one another in the study of the Dharma and its application in daily life. Through meditation, mindful dialogue, and deep listening, members cultivate insight and a sense of community.
Groups meet regularly, and members are encouraged to make a commitment to consistent attendance and active participation. Meetings typically begin with a period of silent meditation, followed by a check-in where participants have an opportunity to share their experiences and reflections. Many groups also set aside time to explore themes and topics that naturally arise during the check-in.
Our KM Guidelines and Mindful Sharing Etiquette provide an overview of how groups are structured, what to expect, and how to start a new group.
Interested in joining an existing KM group that isn't listed below? Or would you like to start a new group?

Virtual KM Group
Mondays and on any day without a scheduled noon sit leader
12 pm - 1 pm
Our discussion/meditation meeting will include a reading of Pema Chodron’s ‘Comfortable with Uncertainty’. Usually we read, then talk a bit, then meditate for 25 min. The chapters are short and stand alone so drop-ins are not a problem. We would be happy for new folks to join us! Email imcc.kmitta@gmail.com for more information.
