IMCC Discord Server

A Space for Thoughtful and Human Connection

We’ve created this space to support something simple but rare:
a place where people can be thoughtful, honest, and human together. Conversations here can be reflective and grounded.
Others can be light, casual, or even a little playful. Both belong. This is not a performance space.
It’s a place to show up as you are.

What is Discord?

Discord is an online platform where people communicate in organized groups.
A Discord server is like a digital community space made up of channels (rooms) for different topics. People can send text messages and have focused side conversations using threads.
Discord has a helpful beginner's guide here:

How the Space Works

The structure is designed to support both clarity and ease.

  • Channels hold prompts and shared spaces

  • Threads hold conversations

  • Small group spaces offer more private reflection

This keeps things readable and calm, while still allowing depth where it’s needed. You can participate as much or as little as you like.
You can read quietly, respond occasionally, or engage more fully.

The Kind of Conversation We Encourage

We’re not trying to create perfect communication.
We’re creating a practice space. That means we tend to value:

  • Speaking from personal experience

  • Listening with curiosity rather than reacting

  • Letting conversations unfold without rushing

  • Respecting when something is meant to stay within a group

At the same time, there is room for:

  • Humor

  • Ordinary conversation

  • Moments of lightness

  • Not taking ourselves too seriously

  • A healthy community includes both depth and ease.

Small Group Spaces

Some parts of the platform are designed for smaller, more contained groups. These spaces allow for:

  • More continuity over time

  • Greater trust and openness

  • A quieter, more reflective tone

Confidentiality is an important part of these spaces.
What is shared there is meant to stay there.

For Individuals and Organizations

This platform can be used in different ways:

  • As a personal practice and reflection space

  • As a way to stay connected to a community

  • As a container for small groups or cohorts

  • As a shared space for organizations that value thoughtful dialogue

  • The structure is simple, but flexible enough to support different kinds of communities.

An Invitation

If this kind of space sounds useful to you, we’d be happy to talk. Whether you’re:

  • Curious about joining

  • Interested in bringing a group onto the platform

  • Exploring ways to support more intentional community

Feel free to reach out. We can walk you through how it works and explore whether it’s a good fit.
