Tuesday Evening Meetings

Whether you are just curious about meditation or have been a meditation practitioner for decades, you are welcome at our regular Tuesday evening meeting!

When: Tuesdays, 7:30-9:00 pm

Where: Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA)
674 Hillsdale Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901.  See map below.

Tuesday meetings -- attended by approximately 50 people -- begin with brief announcements followed by a 30-40 minute guided meditation or "sitting". Chairs are provided, but you may bring a cushion or mat if you prefer. After a short break, the evening’s teacher will present a "dharma" talk (dharma means "teaching") that addresses different facets of meditation practice including how to bring the heart of meditation into our daily lives. After the talk, we typically have an informal discussion and questions. Our evenings always end promptly at 9 pm.

Greeters are there to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
