Tuesday Evening Meetings - 7:30-9:00pm at JABA, 674 Hillsdale Dr.

Whether you are just curious about meditation or have been a meditation practitioner for decades, you are always welcome at IMCC events. Our popular Tuesday evening meeting is our largest weekly gathering, typically with about 50 people.

It takes place from 7:30pm to 9pm at the Jefferson Area Board for Aging (JABA) located at:         674 Hillsdale Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901.

The meetings begin with brief announcements followed by a 30-40 minute guided meditation or "sitting."  Chairs are provided, but you may bring a cushion or mat if you prefer. After a short break, the evening’s teacher will present a "dharma" talk (dharma means "teaching") that addresses different facets of meditation practice including how to bring the heart of meditation into our daily lives. After the talk, we typically have an informal discussion and questions. Our evenings always end promptly at 9pm.

Official greeters are there to welcome you and answer any questions you may have.
